Continued Classes
For SSP, I decided to continue four classes: AP Calculus AB, AP United States Government and Politics, Orchestra, and Chamber. For math and history, my teachers were amazing and planned to take the respective AP exams, so it made sense to stick with the courses. I really enjoy calculus because of the clear problem solving and logic element. AP Government was extremely interesting, especially given these polarizing times. I chose to stay in my music ensembles not for credit, but because both orchestra and chamber have been such integral parts of my high school experience. BB&N Music has provided me educational opportunities and a strong community, so it was important to me to end my senior year with my eighth orchestra concert and my eighth chamber concert.
AP Calculus AB
As a final project for our class after the exam was complete, we made 3D cross-sections. In the image below, we found the volume when the base is a circle and the cross sections are equilateral triangles.

AP United States Government and Politics
Intertwined with studying for the exam, we took turns preparing news update presentations. Mine was about RFK Jr. promoting anti-vaccination rhetoric at the Autism Health Summit, and the implications as this relates to political participation and government branch interaction. Below are the discussion questions from the end of my slideshow.

Orchestra
In this image, we are playing the Mozart Jupiter Symphony. We also played an "outer space medley" including Also Sprach Zarathustra, Holst Jupiter, and the Star Wars Theme.

Chamber
In this image, we are playing the second and sixth parts from Bruch's "Eight Pieces" at the Winter Concert. The second part is Allegro Con Moto, and the sixth part is Nachtgesang. For the Spring Concert, we played the first movement of the Beethoven Trio in C Minor, Op. 1 No. 3.
